This branding identity was designed to be printed as a book. Some design choices I took in consideration for printer were the gutters, the edges, and the CMYK color space. The image on the left would be the spread variant for when I would not have to worry about crossing the gutter. I will use this variant for the rest of the spreads when moving forward.

Logo Design
The process of creating a logo starts from experimenting with tons of different designs and narrowing it down to one winner. I decided to use the main letters to create an elephant. An elephant is an endangered species and perfectly captures with a glance what the organization's mission. The 3 letters are vector based and minimal enough to make it easy to identify. The colors of the logo are also part of the brand's main identity as well. The construction of the ESI logo involves simple rectangles and circles that are the same width and size.

I chose both green and blue because it is the two main colors that best represent the Earth and environment. The organization's conservation efforts are both on land, sea, and sky. I provided the Pantone codes of each of the tints and shade and used the colors throughout the designs of the book. The main green and blue are in the center of the gradient and listed right under ESI Green and ESI Blue.

I decided to go with two different font families, Ebrima and Century Gothic. Both are San-Serif and have a similar x-height. The Century Gothic family is skinnier and more structured. It supports Ebrima Bold as a body text font. Upon first inspection, the two fonts look extremely similar except Ebrima has a tiny amount of flair and curves to them, making it the chosen font to be used as the headers.

The stationeries for the company follow the same designs that can be seen throughout the spreads of the book. The business card shows the logo and on the back the contact information of the founder and the organization. The letterhead is simple in design and contains the logo and illustrations as well. The envelope follows the same design as the business card but sports a pattern on the inside.

We can see the comparison of the old ESI website compared to the new rebranded ESI website. From the home page, the call to action is visible and asks people to support or donate to the non-profit. The frog image as the hero also directs the viewers attention to the call to action as well. The bold and large hero text quickly summarizes the mission behind the brand.
